What we do

Decks

We plan and build decks around your home, your priorities, and the way you want to use your outdoor space.

The Work

A deck should extend the way the home is used, giving the outdoor area a clear purpose and a natural connection to the interior. Its size, proportions, levels, and material choices need to suit both the property and the way you plan to use the space. We consider these relationships together so the finished deck feels practical, balanced, and part of the home.

What We Handle

Building a deck brings structural framing, surface boards, stairs, railings, and finishing details into one project. We coordinate these elements against the approved plan so the dimensions, connections, and material selections remain aligned.

Our experience with deck construction helps us understand how the property, access from the home, changes in grade, and intended use affect the layout. We consider these conditions together so the plan is practical for both construction and everyday use.

We oversee the work from site preparation through final installation. By keeping the construction sequence and finishing details aligned, we maintain consistency across the project and give you one team responsible for bringing the deck together.

A Clear Path to Your New Deck

Planning a deck involves decisions about placement, access, size, materials, and how the new structure meets the home. We organize these decisions into four clear stages so you understand what is being planned and how the work will move forward.

  1. Project Discovery

We visit your property to review the proposed deck area, access from the home, changes in grade, and how you want to use the space. Measurements and site observations give us the information needed to define the project.

  2. Design Decisions

We develop the proposed layout and work through the principal choices for materials, stairs, railings, and finishing details with you. Confirming these elements before construction gives the deck a clear and coordinated direction.

  3. Building Your Deck

Once the direction is approved, we prepare the site and manage construction from the supporting structure through the surface, stairs, railings, and final details. We keep you informed as the work progresses and raise questions promptly when your input is required.

  4. Completion and Handover

We review the completed deck with you and identify any final items requiring attention. Those items are completed before the project is formally handed over.

Outdoor construction can reveal site conditions that were not fully visible at the outset. If something affects the approved work, we explain what has been found, how it may affect the project, and the available options before proceeding.
